The Network · Great Hearts Christian Academies
Via Veritas Vita
The Way. The Truth.
The Life.
The private classical-Christian arm of the Great Hearts network — a separate, faith-based 501(c)(3) running classical curriculum within an ecumenical Christian framework. Two campuses operating in Arizona, two announced. Tuition published. Ninety percent of families on financial aid.

The Project
The Great Hearts curriculum, taught explicitly within the Christian tradition.
Great Hearts Christian Academies takes the same classical curriculum the Great Hearts charter network has been refining for two decades — Latin from grade four, Singapore Math, Spalding phonics, Humane Letters in the upper school — and teaches it within an ecumenical Christian formation framework. The Statement of Faith is creedal, designed to unite believers across denominations rather than divide them.
GHCA is a separate, faith-based non-profit organization — independent of the Great Hearts public charter schools. Tuition-charging. Funded by a combination of family tuition, ESA awards, and STO scholarships.

Executive Director
Dr. Toyin Atolagbe— featured by AZ Foothills as a "Trendsetter," presenter at the 2025 National Symposium for Classical Education ("Let’s Mercy Lead").
Faith Framework
Ecumenical — shared creedal commitments, not denomination-specific catechesis. Daily liturgy, prayer, and reading shaped by the Christian calendar.
Tax Status
Independent 501(c)(3). Distinct from the public-charter Great Hearts entities. Donations qualify for AZ Public School Tax Credit via partnered STOs.
Tuition · 2025 – 2026 School Year
Published rates. No hidden fees. Most families pay nothing out of pocket.
More than ninety percent of GHCA students receive financial aid. The actual per-pupil cost to educate is approximately $13,000; tuition is intentionally subsidized below that threshold.

How families fund tuition
Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA)
Arizona state-funded — approximately $7,000/year for elementary, $4,000/year for kindergarten, depending on home district. Distributed quarterly (~$1,750/quarter).
School Tuition Organization (STO) scholarships
Tax-credit-funded private scholarships — Arizona donors redirect a portion of their state tax liability to STOs that, in turn, fund families directly.
Family contribution
What's left after ESA + STO. For most GHCA families, the combined ESA + STO pool meets or exceeds the published tuition.
Optional: After-school Homework Club — $250/scholar/month (Mon-Fri) or $50/scholar (Wednesdays only).
