The application is free, the schools are tuition-free, and admission is by lottery for oversubscribed grades.

Can I get a tax credit for donating to Great Hearts?

In Arizona, yes. Every Arizona resident can redirect up to $200 (single filer) or $400 (joint filer) of their state tax liability to a public charter school via the Arizona Public School Tax Credit. The credit is dollar-for-dollar — what you give comes off your state tax bill, not your taxable income. The Great Hearts Foundation also accepts one-time gifts, recurring giving, securities, planned giving, and capital-campaign support.
